Ivuka Arts Kigali discovered Augustin Hakizimana at Torero cafe, a then hippy kind of spot where Tourists and expats in Kigali hanged every evening to listen to jazz. recite peoms, watch documentaries,  and view art fron different Ivuka Artists while they sipped wine and nice international food. Augustin had artistic talent hidden in him and he hanged with different artists from Ivuka and was inspired to discover his talents. 

Practicing as a young struggling artists, Hakizimana works so had to become better and better everyday. On a daily basis you can ran into him at Ivuka Arts studios if you want to hear his story staright from his mouth.
